Making slime is such an interesting creative activity for kids. It’s also a great method to develop the motor skills, playing with slime strengthens fine motor muscles, but in the same time is a really relaxing and calming sensory activity.
It’s also a great oportunity for developing the language, because while they are exploring the new texture we can talk with them about what they are experiencing. We can name the different colours, or we could describe the slime using some adjectives (gooey, squishy, mushy) to promote language acquisition.
